A special coupler is a great way to utilize various decorating tips with one icing bag. This allows for multiple designs to be created using the same color and consistency.

Directions: Simply remove the ring from the coupler base. Next place the narrow end of the coupler base into the bag and push it down as far as possible.

Featherweight Bags: Use a pen or pencil to mark the outside where the bottom screw (closest to the tip) is outlined against the bag material. Push the coupler base up into the bag to cut an opening at the mark. Then, place a decorating tip over the part of the base extending from the bag. Put the ring over the tip and twist it on tightly, locking the tip in place.

Disposable/Reusable Bags: Use a pair of scissors to mark a spot on the outside that is 1/4 inch below the bottom screw thread. Push the coupler base up into the bag to cut an opening at the mark. Then, place a decorating tip over the part of the base extending from the bag. Put the ring over the tip and twist it on tightly, locking the tip in place.
