Quality Documentation Technician

Position Type: Full Time
Salary: $15.00 per hour

Summary

The Food Safety & Quality Documentation Technician position reviews and verifies document records to ensure the documentation complies with regulations and internal quality control practices. Must be a team player who demonstrates unquestionable integrity, ethical and moral character and acts in a way consistent with CK Products values.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Contributes to the overall growth and development of the company through effective communications with sales and technical groups and provides manufacturing expertise to the successful development of new products and processes.
  • Promotes positive labor relations inside and outside the plant by ensuring consistent application of company policies, provides leadership to managers and supervisors.
  • Ensures compliance for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and management methods to generate improved plant performance and workflow optimization and efficiencies.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansionand growth by developing new business relationships.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals.
  • Ensures robust plant safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in the compliance with all required regulations and corporate directives.
  • Organizes project activities that may require internal/external meetings and communications to ensure that project/program are on schedule and within budget.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Ability to read and follow documents (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Portrays appropriate levels of integrity and professionalism
Physical Demands, Work Environment and other requirements
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Required to frequently lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Able to withstand working in a non-climate-controlled environment around heated machinery.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED (or equivalent), Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous quality experience and/or data analysis a plus.
