Master Scheduler

 
 Summary
Master scheduler will provide planning administration including scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, analysis, reporting, personnel planning, resource management and capacity planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and/or organize a production schedule on a daily basis and make sure that every output (level) is recorded appropriately in the correct system
  • Work closely with purchasing so as to make sure that the company’s supply needs are adequately met in a timely manner
  • Make sure schedules are given to employees in a timely fashion and that any distortions in the company’s schedule are accounted for always
  • Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and timely.
  • Ensure that the quantity and specifications of products are correct.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Maintain various data in the ERP system, including lead times, batch sizes, security stocks, performance factors
  • Optimize working capital costs of raw materials, conversion, and finished goods while achieving desired customer service objectives in support of supply chain initiatives, S&OP Process, and company profitability plans.
  • Develop weekly four -8-week production requirements for manufacturing operations with daily detail as required by production scheduling process.
  • Develop daily production plans that effectively manage labor and enable plant efficiency targets to be achieved
Skills/Knowledge
  • Inventory Management – analysis of requirements vs inventory position
  • Analyzes demand signals; determines what needs to be built·
  • Extensive experience with ERP System Management required
  • Possess knowledge of supply chain process and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and negotiate and set priorities required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and MRP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central and its related supply chain applications.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in production planning, detailed scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning or materials management required.
Education
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
