Simply bakes and cool cookie head and body separately. Next, decorate the head as desired and then the body. If using run sugar icing, allow the icing to harden before attaching the head to the body. Place the head on the body using royal icing to attach. Place the head lower on the body for animals with short necks, such as a hippopotamus. Place the head high on the body for animals with long necks, such as a zebra. For standing, short animals pipe the back and front legs wide. For learner animals, pipe the back and front legs thin.
